Sheena Burns

Originally from Scotland, Sheena Burns has lived and worked in Limerick for nearly forty years.  Since graduating from Limerick School of Art and Design in 2009, she has worked in Studio Seven and in the Franciscan Studios, Limerick, and now in herown studio at home in County Limerick she creates one-off ceramic pieces for exhibitions. 

Her recent work has focussed on environmental concerns - the beauty and fragility of the Sea, and of life itself.  She favours experimenting at  the boundary between Ceramics and Science.
